This is great cause I am actually sitting here making friendship bracelets for my friends for graduation.

The Wind actually started with an experience Joe had. He was going threw some personal stuff and he felt sort of lost and uh, sort of felt lost at sea actually. And, he started looking up old sailing stories and stuff and he found this word, disoriented, which was actually a good thing back in the 1600’s. It was a goal for a sailor and his captain of his ship to get far enough away from Portugal to not know where they were, but you know there was something new coming and you had to let go of where you came from to do it. So, it sort of came from that place of wanting to see what he was going threw as a good thing and all who wander are not lost.

You are what I never knew I needed.
I’ll keep you warm, dancing in a downpour.

When you set out to do something, you kind of weigh out the risks and what it’s going to require of you. If that’s something that you can afford, you go for it. At the beginning of this band, when we started out, I guessed what it was going to be like and how hard it was going to be and thought it would be worth it to run after it. And it’s cost a lot more than I thought it would personally, relationally, socially, spiritually, physically and emotionally. It’s a lot more draining than anyone ever told me. No one ever told me that this was going to be my life. Everything I do. But I definitely get the sense that people in physical situations that are a lot more famous than us are very alone in their experiences. Most people have no idea what it costs you of your transparency and your vulnerability to people you never met….I make it sound kind of bleak, but it was worth it. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
